HORROR | HUMOUR
Not my normal erotic romp.
It was dark when I woke up, lying on the floor of the theatre. I looked up. A girl was standing over me with a look of concern on her face. For some reason I could not work out, she was wearing a top hat and not much else.
Working in the theatre it is not unusual to be greeted by an attractive, scantily dressed blonde but I could not place which act she was part of.
“Where did you come from?”
She smiled. “The imagination is a powerful thing.”
“You mean I’m imagining you?” I looked at her, blonde, big boobs and wearing a skimpy pair of white panties. I guess, she was right in that respect; if I was going to conjure up a girl it would be her. I started to imagine something else.
“Now stop that,” she said.
“Stop what?”
“What you were thinking. It’s not right”
“Look, I’m supposed to be the magician here. I do the mind reading.” I sat up. “Anyway, who are you?”
“I am your guardian angel.”
“You’re joking.”
“No, the world is full of little demons so everyone has a guardian angel. We’re the good guys and they’re the bad ones. It maintains a sense of balance,” she smiled. “Remember when you tripped over that uneven pavement and couldn’t figure out why? That was a demon grabbing at your foot. I was the one that caught you and stopped you cracking your head open on the steps.”
“You mean an attractive woman with great tits has been following me about all my life and I haven’t been able to see her?”
“No, and thank you for the compliment by the way but remember you are imagining me so I don’t really look like this. There’s a lot of work to do, there’s more people than angels so we are a bit stretched. I have more than one charge to look after and each will see me differently.”
“Uugh,” I shook my head. “What happened, why am I seeing you now?”
“Ah, yes. I forgot to mention that - sorry I was a bit late. Traffic on the bypass was at a standstill.” She looked up at the lighting gantry thirty feet above me.
“You mean I fell.”
“Yes, and you might have survived but…” She looked behind me.
I turned around. A body was lying twisted on the edge of the orchestra pit. There was a lot of blood around it which seemed mainly to have come from the hole made by something sticking through its chest.
“Is that..?”
She nodded.
“You mean, I’m dead because you got stuck in traffic. But you’re an angel.”
“Thank you’” she said.
“I didn’t mean it like that. I meant can’t you just transport or something?”
“Oh, yes of course. No, I was trying to stop some fool on a phone from ploughing into one of my other charges. Unfortunately, even angels find it difficult to be in two places at once and you really should have been more careful - worn a safety harness or something.
“Yes, I know but I just wanted to do a last quick adjustment before I locked up.” I looked across at the body again - my body.
“Did you save them, the person in the car?”
“Yes.”
“That’s good - at least I didn’t die for nothing.”
“That’s sweet,” she smiled.
“So, what happens now?”
“I have to escort you.”
“Up or down?” I asked.
She looked confused.
“Heaven or hell?
“Oh don’t be silly. You’ll become one of us,” she smiled. “Who knows, what you were imagining earlier might happen now we are both the same.”
